The Way's Top Three 10/17

The Way's Top Three Things You Should Know
Dear Followers of The Way Church,

Sorry it's been a while since we've communicated in this way, but we're excited to re-connect and share the top three things we think you need to know that your church family is doing this week.

1. Thanks to all of you who loved our neighbors and served our community through Worship Without Walls.  98 folks (including 4 guests of The Way) participated in:
  • Helping a neighbor in need with a variety of projects.
  • Providing a free clothing closet (34 shoppers).
  • Packing meals for kids who are on free and reduced price lunch in the Wentzville School District (food packed to last through Christmas or so - way to go Chris Antonio).
  • Quilting blankets to be delivered to kids.
  • Making crafting kids to share with the kids at the Crisis Nursery.
  • Assembling educational kits to be used in local classrooms.
  • Delivering beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace so that "no kid sleeps on the floor in our town."
We are grateful for all of you who served as project managers, and especially thankful to Stacy Eikermann for her leadership of Worship Without Walls.

2. The Way will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 29th from 4-6 p.m. Joe and Sarah Moran are doing a fantastic job leading this outreach event, but they still need your help.  You can sign up to serve at Trunk or Treat by going to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4CACA62AAAF49-trunk#/.  Don't forget to bring your candy to The Way's building on Sunday.

3. Speaking of Sunday, we'll be back for worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. at The Way's building.  I'll be continuing our series on Practicing the Way of Jesus through Prayer.  If you missed any of the previous messages in this series, you can find them here: https://thewaywentzville.org/media/series/c69t2kj/prayer.

Have a great week.  I'll see you Sunday at 10 a.m. for worship.  Until then, be DIFFERENT for Jesus!
