Our Story

How it all started...

The Way Church held its first public worship gathering on September 15th, 2013. Two hundred ninety three individuals showed up that day to celebrate the launching of a new church start in Wentzville, Missouri.  For the first few years, The Way held its worship gatherings at Peine Ridge Elementary School.  Those formative years of setting up and tearing down each and every Sunday are a helpful reminder that the Church is not a building; the Church is a people.

The Way is the daughter church of Morning Star Church in Dardenne Prairie and the granddaughter church of Sunrise Church in O’Fallon.

Expanding the vision...

In the summer of 2017, The Way moved into its own building at 1404 West Meyer Road. The building needed some TLC, but with a vision and some talent, it turned into a wonderful place to hold worship gatherings.
During construction, many families were able to be a part of the blessing of the building and sign their names into the framing of the worship center.

Where we are headed...

The Way remains committed to its mission of “developing disciples who declare & demonstrate a different way of life to a watching world.”  The Way has a vision of creating a community of Christ-followers who show their “All-In” commitment through their tenacious spiritual practices, authentic community, sacrificial generosity, tangible compassion, and unconditional surrender to Jesus.

We invite you to join us on this journey.  While God has been good to us, we believe we’ve only scratched the surface of what God is hoping to do to us and through us.  The best is yet to come!
