Operation Backpack
We partner with the Wentzville School District and Operation Food Search to supply weekend meals for local school children.
Currently we support 30+ children at Peine Ridge and Journey Elementary schools and provides weekly sacks of kid-friendly, shelf-
stable food to get students through the weekend when school meals are not available.
We are passionate about helping eliminate hunger for these local kids. We want to show them that they are loved and we care.
We have partnered with Morning Star Church to pack and deliver food throughout the Wentzville School district. What this means is
we will store out food with Morning Star, as well as pack food with them every other week. This allows us to provide fresher food,
more food, and be more efficient with our process.

How Do I get involved?
We welcome people of all ages to volunteer with Backpack Impact!
This a a great way to get involved in the Church!!!
We want everyone who wants to be involved to be given that opportunity. You are welcome.
Donate Food: Donations of any size are welcome! We provide food ALL school year, when school is in session. Our Goal is to
provide eligible children with 1 food bag per weekend (2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, and 2+ snack items).
You can donate food in 2 ways:
1) You can go to our Amazon Wish List (click on the link below) and order food, and it will be sent direct to the MSC where we pack
our food. Please think about creating a subscription to send food every 4-6 weeks so we can keep the donations regular.
2) Below is the list of food items we are collecting. You are welcome to shop for them yourself and bring your donated food to
the church lobby on Sundays.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHO GETS FOOD?
The kids that we pack for are identified as food challenged by the counselors at each school. These are children who may not have enough to
eat at home on the weekends when not attending school. The counselor reaches out to the family and they can “opt in” to the Backpack
Impact Program offered.
